Italy Bike Tours: Tuscany, Siena and Lazio

I had the absolute joy and privilege of meeting Luca & Michi on my trip in May 2017. As they had just started their business I was the only rider on that tour. Wow, it was THE BEST. Other tour organisers would have been upset about this but they were absolutely fantastic to me. Luca and his lovely wife collected me from the train station and from that moment on, I had nothing to worry about except what wine I was going to have with dinner and to wake up before 8. The tour was organised so effectively. The bike I was given to ride was measured up for me and I rode it the whole 6 days with no problems. Each new day was a new amazing vista, the sights were astonishing and plentiful. Luca was so attentive and considerate and without saying anything at all he knew when I was getting tired and when I was wanting to cycle harder .... to anyone not sure of cycling; don't worry. This was my first cycle tour to Italy and it was only 55klms each day. There were some hills, but these were easy enough to handle. Luca had preplanned the whole journey fantastically.
Luca and Michi took every opportunity to teach me Italian and Italian history and local politics and I in turn refined their otherwise excellent English. It was great. Please, anyone reading this, do yourself a favour and go on their tours. I cannot say enough about how grateful I am to them for such a memorable amazing fantastic trip.

Our hosts Luca Ruggeri and Richi Bobbi from Road Bike tours Italy have been amazing. We have ridden every long and steep climb, had breathtaking views, stayed in some beautiful historical villages and eaten our fair share of the best food this amazing country has to offer. What a journey! Loved every minute of it.

After reviewing many tour companies we settled on the tour operator for our Tuscan adventure and we were not disappointed. Nothing is to difficult for this company and the attention to detail and service is second to none. From our pick up in Florence to our last day in Assisi our every need was met whether it was to our days on the road cycling, or our wonderful accommodation and meals. We were lucky to have Luca and Richi as our support and guides and this is where other tour companies cannot compete, there knowledge, care and friendship are second to none. We felt like we were losing two friends at the end of our tour and it was sad to say goodbye. There are flexible to design a tour that best suits your needs and will ensure your have memories to last a lifetime.

I wasn't quite sure what to expect but had high hopes this trip would deliver and deliver it did! We undertook the ride as our own complete group of 6, so I knew the company would be top-notch with plenty of humour and good times throughout the journey. I was a little concerned at not taking my own bike, but the provided bikes were set up well for the terrain we traversed, and we were all very comfortable on them throughout. The cycling, scenery, food and wine exceeded expectations but it was our wonderful hosts, Luca and Richi who tied it all together. They are truly wonderful people and great ambassadors for their country. Every detail was meticulously planned and no request or task was too difficult for them to accomplish. From the moment they picked us up until they finally bid us farewell, we had their undivided attention throughout. Our host's very quickly became close friends, and we shall miss sharing a beer or a glass of red with them at the end of another days riding. My great sadness is that I'm still struggling to settle back into reality and the daily grind. However, I know this group will return to this wonderful country to share more time in another adventure with our new friends but until that time we will have to be content with reminiscing about our truly fantastic journey together.

We loved absolutely everything about our trip with our wonderful hosts Luca and Richi. The attention to detail was faultless from the bikes supplied, the meals each day, the most amazing scenery and the beautiful accommodation and locations we stayed in. It didn't just exceed all our expectations, it blew them out of the water! Luca and RIchi have become friends of ours - it was sad to say goodbye when it was time to leave. We are in the process of looking to book our next ride with them! Thank you guys for an experience we will never forget xx
