Tour Overview

Join this memorable adventure on Hobart's Mt. Wellington/kunanyi!

Meet at the Tour Operator's office in South Hobart where you will be fiitted to your bike and given a helmet. You'll also be briefed about the tour and what to expect on the North-South trail.

Next, board the minibus which takes you up to the summit of Mt Wellington for some fresh air and spectacular views (if there are no clouds!). After your summit experience, get ready to descend the Pinnacle Road (either in the bus or on your bike) to the start of the North-South Track. The track starts at a location known as The Springs, which is approximately 720m (2,362ft) above sea level.

The North-South Track is a beautiful ride through the foothills of kunanyi/Mt Wellington above Hobart. Created to blend into the natural landscape it includes long rides, technical features, and long flowing descents. Depending on rider ability, it can take up to 2 hours to complete. The ride finishes at the entrance of Glenorchy Mountain Bike Park along Tolosa Street.

From there, ride back to South Hobart along the City Cycleway which will take about 45-60 minutes. The cycleway is paved concrete and very flat. It's a cruisy ride through Hobart's northern suburbs, takes you under the Derwent Bridge and brings you right into the city. A popular stop-off when you get to the Wharf is Mures Seafood Restaurant, their ice cream cones are delicious and massive!

The tour ends back at the Tour Operator's office.
