On Stage 1, as detailed here, you will head out from Launceston passing the beautiful, freshly-painted timber homes alongside the Tamar River, heading north to the beautiful Barnbougle Golf Resort Lodge where you will touch the Bass Strait on the northern shores of Tassie. Deep forest valleys are interspersed with magnificent views across cattle-strewn countryside and National Parks as you wind your way through the picturesque landscapes to the east coast.
A first rest day at the exclusive Freycinet Lodge will be enjoyed by all, surrounded by some of the most spectacular scenery in the state including the famous walk to Wineglass Bay. Winding down the coast to the southern reaches of the Apple Isle, you will enjoy your final rest day at historic Port Arthur before making your way to Hobart. Here this part of the tour ends and you can either depart or choose to participate in Stage 2, to continue riding around Tasmania on a longer tour.
