This adventure starts with a shuttle from the Tour Operator's Queenstown shop to Arrowtown, one of New Zealand’s most picturesque spots. Upon arrival, you’ll be equipped with everything for a fantastic day of riding: a high-quality mountain or E-bike, a helmet, a trail map, and a full briefing on the day’s journey. Explore Arrowtown, once a bustling gold-mining settlement, grab a coffee at a local café, or jump straight into your ride.
The trail follows the Arrow River downstream, winding through willow-lined paths and crossing dramatic swing bridges. Soon, you’ll reach the Kawarau Suspension Bridge, famous as the birthplace of bungee jumping, and the gateway to the Gibbston Wine Valley. From here, take your time biking along the scenic Gibbston River Trail, using the winery map to visit the cellar doors along the route. The valley’s renowned Pinot Noir awaits, with plenty of opportunities to sample wines as you ride. You can enjoy a picnic or stop for lunch at one of the many wineries.
The first winery is 15 km (9 miles) away, and it’s 25 km (16 miles) to the valley’s end. At 4:30 pm, we’ll pick you up from your chosen winery for the return shuttle to Queenstown.Itinerary
