The day starts in the afternoon with a pick up in central Queenstown and a scenic transfer to Arrow Junction.
After a bike fitting and briefing on wineries and trail information from your knowledgeable driver, you’re off to explore the region at your own pace. Take a leisurely afternoon bike ride along the Gibbston River Trail, armed with an informative winery map that highlights the 8+ wineries scattered throughout the trail. Take your time and visit as many of these wineries as you can - usually on the half day tour there is realiztically time for 2-3 wineries. If you wish to visit more try one of the longer options below.
At the end of the day, you can rest easy knowing that you'll be picked up from a pre-arranged point in the valley for a relaxing vehicle transfer back to Queenstown. There's no need to worry about driving, so feel free to indulge in as many wine tastings as you like.
With a total of 6-17 kms depending on how many wineries you visit, this tour has minimal riding and maximum winery time.
This tour is available during the summer months of September - April and is recommended for those on a tight schedule. A 3/4 day version is possible here or a full day version of the tour is also available here.
Please note: Tastings are not included in the price of this package, but the average cost is around NZ$20pp per winery (some are free!).
