Getaway for a self-guided cycle tour exploring the East Gippsland rail trails over 6 days through tranquil and natural surrounds. The East Gippsland rail trail passes through farmland and forest through the low hills between the coast and the mountains in some of the greenest and most fertile country in Australia that still remains relatively undiscovered. Huge timber bridges, spanning rivers and forested valleys are a feature of the trail. With just a few small towns along its 100 km (62 mi) length, this is a trail of peace and solitude, with sightings of a huge range of wildlife commonplace.
