Your journey begins in Kuching with a warm-up ride through the city’s riverside districts, where you’ll pass British colonial landmarks, Chinese temples, and bustling Malay markets. From there, you’ll venture into the countryside, cycling along quiet backroads through plantations, rainforests, rice fields, villages, and rivers. Off the bike, you’ll spend a night in a traditional Bidayuh longhouse, kayak the tranquil Sarawak River, and visit the renowned Semenggoh Nature Reserve to see orangutans up close. You’ll also explore the charming town of Siniawan and relax at a resort on the beautiful Santubong Peninsula, where the jungle meets the sea in spectacular fashion. The adventure wraps up back in Kuching.

Join and discover the wonders of Borneo’s diverse heritage, all while cycling through its stunning landscapes!

The cycling is complemented by a wide variety of opportunities to be immersed in Sarawak’s natural and cultural heritage, including spending a night in the Indigenous village of Annah Rais and two nights in the Chinese-Buddhist village near Siniawan. There is also a kayaking trip included and a visit to Fairy Cave! The highlight for many people coming on this tour is, of course, the opportunity to see the famous orangutans - but it is important to be aware that encounters cannot be guaranteed. If you do not see orangutans the first time on day 4 the group will try again a second time on day 7, so rest-assured the guides will do their best.
