If hiring a bike it will come with a cycle computer, bottle holder, saddle bag with spare tube, tyre lever and tools, hand pump and lock.

It is recommend that you bring cycling shoes, suitable clothing for cycling, waterproof jacket, drink bottle, helmet, first aid kit, sun cream, bug repellent and cash/credit cards.

Accommodation is clean and simple. You'll mainly stay in small, locally-run, 2-3 star hotels and guesthouses, which reflect the character of the area.

Breakfasts are generally buffets that take your active program into consideration with a variety of low-fat and high-nutrition choices. Lunch, dinner and drinks are not included in the tour. However a half-board supplement (6 dinners) is available and can be added on to the tour.     

The beauty of cycling in Istria is that the roads are generally very quiet. The tours are planned on local roads with some short connections on main roads but generally the cycling is relaxed and traffic light.

This cycling holiday is graded easy to moderate and involves 35-55 km (22-34mi) daily distances. This holiday requires cyclist with a better level of fitness who occasionally cycle. Cycling days are longer and higher hills are possible. Distance for a day are 35 km to 55 km.

Spring in Croatia is sublime and April, May and June are absolutely lovely. Autumn is probably the best time of year as the landscape is made up of a gold and red pallet so September and October are unmissable. July and August can be hot so you will have to start early to miss the heat of the day, although the towns and villages are busier with many seasonal festivals which is great.

Yes, a representative of the Tour Operator will meet with you usually on arrival day. They like to meet guests in order to give the full information about the upcoming trip as well as much need material like maps, road book, bicycles and hotel vouchers. Generally it is scheduled at 19:00 / 7:00 p.m. for clients with independent arrival. In case they come with organized transfer it can be rescheduled to fit the arrival to the first accommodation.

No, bicyicles are not included in the price for this tour but bike hires are available. Giant Talon mountain bikes are used and come with a helmet, one side pannier and flat pedals.

A representative of the tour operator will provide assistance from the arrival day meeting and during the tour. Phone lines will always be open and all necessary phone numbers will be provided. The tour operator can be contacted through their office, their emergency mobile phone, email or messages through Viber and WhatsApp.

You can also ask assistance from the hotel front desk to send questions or requests. All the hotels are familiar with the tours and are very helpful.

A road book with maps and descriptions for each cycling day will be provided. The tour operator also has an app with maps that can be used offline.
