    Yes, the bikes available to hire on this tour are modern aluminum framed, hybrid models with 24 speeds and a comfortable saddle, offering an upright riding position. The bikes come equipped with rear pannier, handlebar bag, lock, repair kit, and map holder.

    Electric bikes are also available to hire.

    The tour operator suggests you bring your own helmet for safety and hygiene reasons. Alternatively, helmets can be hired for free.

    The tour has 2 full days of cycling, with 20km each day in circular loops coming back to Epernay.

    The trip is graded by the tour operator as strenuous, as you are biking in a flat to hilly region where climbs cannot be avoided. You should be used to daily cycling and have already been on cycling tours for a few days. You should be ready to cycle 35 km (21.7 mi) per day with slight difficulties.

    You will cycle mostly on asphalt vineyard roads, countryside roads, and cycle paths. No traffic roads.

  • Where does the tour start and end?

    The tour starts and ends in Epernay, France. The tour operator recommends flying into Paris and taking the high speed train from Paris 'Gare de l'Est' to Epernay train station.

    The Epernay train station is about a 10min walk from hotels.

  • If I'm traveling by myself, do I have to pay more?

    If you are traveling solo or would like your own room then a single supplement is payable.

  • What is the 'Half Board' Upgrade?

    Half-board refers to dinners, typically featuring 3-course meals (starter, main course, dessert) at local restaurants. Drinks and extras are not included and should be paid directly at the restaurant. Dinners are usually scheduled for 7:30 p.m.

    These meals are reserved at set times to ensure quality service. You will receive vouchers in your welcome pack, which must be presented at each restaurant. For this tour, three dinners are included if the half-board supplement will be availed.

    Helmets are provided if you rent a bike with the tour operator. But you can always bring your own helmet if you wish.
