  • How many days is the tour?

You have 4 days and 3 nights of fun on this tour. All of which will be spent on the bike.

  • Where does the tour start and finish?

The tour starts at 6:30 to 7:00am at your hotel in Bangkok, the tour operator will pick you up. It will also end with a hotel drop off in Bangkok.

Bangkok can be accessed by Suvarnnabhumi Airport (BKK).

  • How many riders will be in the group? And what is the minimum age to join?

We can't say for certain how many will be joining. However to keep the tour personal the maximum number of participants is 16 and minimum is 2.

Minimum age to join is 0 years old

  • Can you describe the tour?

The tour is a combination of sightseeing and cycling. You will ride a manageable 30km a day, but because you'll cover quite a lot of ground and take in all the major sites, the days are quite full and action-packed. The riding is fairly easy, and will follow a wide range of trails ranging from canal paths, minor roads to dirt paths.

The trip is fully supported and your guide’s expert knowledge of the area and terrain means that you always know what is coming up in terms of distance and difficulty. This makes a tremendous difference, as does the constant supply of cold drinks and fresh fruit.

Suitability: This tour is suitable for all levels of riders and is a popular choice for families.

Biking Conditions: This trip is a mixture of hard-packed jeep trails and smooth tarmac. An air-conditioned bus travels behind the group to provide support, and participants can cycle as much or as little as they like and still enjoy the same views as the rest of the group.

  • Are bike hires available?

Yes, bike hire is included in the tour. The bikes are well-known makes of hybrid or mountain bikes (depending on the tour) with lightweight alloy frames, 24- to 27-speed gearing, v-brakes and Shimano components and front suspension.

  • Are helmets included when hiring a bike?

Yes, if you're hiring a bike from the operator, a complimentary helmet is provided, although you are welcome to bring your own if you wish.

An enjoyable tour

(Review obtained from Tour Operator)

The tour was exactly as described. Our guide, Aum, was brilliant and made the tour even more enjoyable. The quality of the overnight stops, especially the first night, was better than expected. The lunch stops were all interesting and the fruit stops were perfect. Our van driver, Mr Sit, was also extremely good and always there when we needed him.

Experienced independent and guided tour cyclists, this was first time we've traveled with the tour operator (Central Thailand Explorer). We re absolutely delighted. Guide "Woody" was very experienced, very knowledgeable about culture, history, food, etc, and understood our interests (and abilities). Mr. San, our driver, was super attentive with water, snacks, excellent vehicle support. Accommodations were varied but generally good; great local food opportunities. Look forward to another opportunity in future.
