If you are making your own way to Uluru, meet the tour operator at the Uluru-Kata Tjuta Cultural Centre in the National Park. If you do not have your own transport, please book the add-on transfer to get you into the park. Note that neither option includes actual entry into the National Park itself. Please see the FAQ page for more information about entry to the park and the timing of the tour.
Receive your bike and be fitted to it comfortably before departing.
The transfer via Uluru Hop On Hop Off pick up and drop off, goes from 5 locations within Ayers Rock Resort: Desert Gardens Hotel, Town Square, Sails in the Desert Resort, Ayers Rock Campground (bus stop on the ring road) & Outback Pioneer Hotel & Lodge. If you are staying at The Lost Camel Hotel, your bus pick up point is Sails in the Desert Hotel. If you are staying at Emu Walk Apartments, your bus pick up point Desert Gardens Hotel. Your hotel reception will be able to point you in the right direction of the bus stop.This tour requires you purchase your entry to the National Park separately. The cost of entry to the National Park is not included in the ticket price. You can pay the bus driver, in cash, for this and they will pay the entry as you drive in.
Back to the biking! You'll have 3 hours to complete the base ride, this allows plenty of time to ride the 15km around Uluru with plenty of time to stop and explore before hopping back on the bus. The ride can be done very quickly, or nice and leisurely. The tour operator recommends taking your time to ensure you get the full experience. They allow 3 hours, but most people finish in 2 -2.5 hours. You do not need to be an experienced cyclist or fitness fanatic to enjoy the experience. The ride is on a packed earth path and is easily navigated.
