First Class Camping
Stay in exceptional locations, getting close to nature
With long mileage and two days of moderately technical singletrack, The Kokopelli Trail is perfect for riders looking for a challenge and an epic mountain bike adventure. The legend of Kokopelli begins near present-day Grand Junction, Colorado (195-miles west of Denver), at the confluence of the Colorado and Gunnison rivers. Known in Native American cultures as a trickster god and/or a fertility deity, Kokopelli could shape-shift into numerous forms. You will follow and visually interpret Kokopelli’s walkabout, a supernatural quest to spread prosperity and fertility. If you’ve heard or read about the superb mountain biking near Fruita, Colorado (northwest of Grand Junction), here’s your chance to live and breathe it.
All camping on this trip is in campsites with no running water and pit toilets. There are no shower facilities, but solar showers will be available. Cell phone service is only available when in Moab.
Camping gear may be rented or you may bring your own. All of the camping gear is tested and hand-chosen from top manufacturers to ensure you get a good night’s sleep.
