The tour is 8 days long with 6 days of cycling.

You will ride your bike on many cycle paths and side roads with little traffic. On the first three stages, you will need to cycle some climbs. Mostly, the roads are paved. However, some longer sections are on gravel paths. From Füssen to Augsburg, along the river Lech, you will find yourself mainly on flat terrain.

With the travel document package, everyone will find the right route, precisely with all the necessary and helpful information.

Tour App
The Tour Operator has their own tour app where all the information is comprehensive and easy to use, plus a sophisticated orientation function which makes finding your way child’s play. The Tour App is definitely the most comfortable way to get around and it is completely free of charge. You can easily download the app onto any standard smartphone or tablet. In addition to the app, you will always receive a travel documents-package on site!

Travel Documents Package
Travel documents were designed to be easy to understand, very clear, have detailed directions, contains valuable tips, insider knowledge and recommendations. Packed in a sustainable felt folder, here is what you can expect from the package:

- The route book
It is the heart of the travel documents-folder and will be your most faithful companion during your cycle holiday. In it you will find all the important information you might need during your holiday. In addition to the directions, you will also be provided with information about bike repair shops, important phone numbers, tips for places to stop off and places to visit. The route descriptions will give you a very precise overview with exact kilometer details. And in combination with the Tour-app, it is almost impossible not to find the way.

- Detailed maps
Maps are conveniently integrated into the route book of the Tour Operator's original holidays and are therefore easy to find at the end of each day’s stage. On the maps with the correct scale, you will not only find your cycle routes displayed in the best possible way, but also all the hotels, sights and points of interest along the way. We also include local maps and information about the stage locations in the travel documents-folder you receive on site.

- Hotel list
The hotel list not only gives you the information on where to cycle to the next day, but also serves as a voucher that you show at the hotel. You will receive the hotel list once for each booked room, but the voucher only has to be shown once for the entire booking, namely by the main person who booked the holiday. It is also noted whether you have only booked the overnight stay with breakfast or half board. You will receive the hotel list again on site. Please always use the hotel list that you received last. Since sometimes in the final few weeks before arrival there can still be short-term rebookings of the hotels.

- Vouchers
Trips often include services such as cable car rides on Madeira, wine tastings on the Danube, delicious ice cream on Lake Garda or a hearty Weisswurst-breakfast in Bavaria.

You will also receive these vouchers with your travel documents on site, once for the entire booking, which you should then hand in to the respective service provider. You will also only receive any train tickets at your arrival destination.

- Luggage tags
You will also find two luggage tags in your travel document folder, which are used to safely transport your luggage locally. When filling them out, please note that you do not enter your own name, but the BOOKING NAME and the TOTAL NUMBER of pieces of luggage for the entire booking. This is important so that luggage drivers can check whether all luggage has been taken and a smooth and punctual luggage transfer can be guaranteed. The number of pieces of luggage is not limited on original holidays, but the pieces of luggage should not weigh more than 20kg. Our luggage drivers will thank you.

The Tour Operator brings your suitcases and travel bags reliably from one accommodation to the next. Instead of having to manoeuvre a fully packed, heavy bike, you can relax and concentrate on the cycling, the landscape and making many unforgettable memories. In the handlebar and saddle bag you only need to bring what you need during the day. Simply leave the effort to the competent ground team.

By the way: If you don’t feel like cycling, the weather is too bad or if you suffer a minor injury, the transport service will offer you a ride if possible! Simply call the service hotline to ask.

Some reminders
Daily service: Your luggage will be transferred by the ground team every day and will be ready for you in the hotel in the evening. However, we ask you to leave your luggage in the specified location in good time so the driver can stay on schedule. You can find out when and where to drop your luggage in the travel documents.

Number of pieces of luggage: You can take as many pieces of luggage as you want with you on all Original Tours. On some partner tours the number of bags is limited to two per person. However, it is important that you note the total number of bags for the group on the luggage tags and attach them to each piece of luggage. So nothing gets lost!

Weight: Please think about the backs of our drivers and only bring luggage up to a maximum of 20kg. Better to have one more bag than one very heavy piece of luggage.

Liability: As luggage is loaded several times during the tour so pack carefully, as the Tour Operator cannot accept liability for damage to handles or wheels. Unusual luggage and currency are also excluded from liability.
