  • Where does the tour start and finish?

The tour starts in Cincinnati and finishes at Cleveland, both cities are in Ohio.

If flying in, the best option would be via Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky International Airport (CVG).

Cleveland is serviced by the Cleveland Hopkins International Airport (CLE).

  • How long is the tour and how many days of cycling?

The tour is 9 days long with 7 days of cycling

  • Are there luggage limits?

Yes, cargo space on the vans is very limited therefore luggage limit is 2 bags per guest.

  • What should be packed for the tour?

Pack light: Most locations are small cities and towns. For the most part, attire will be very casual, so you can leave the tux and tiara at home! There will be access to laundry facilities at or near many hotels.

Climate: May-June-Sept-Oct, can have cool days and evenings. Bring a warm sweater or light jacket. You may want a long-sleeved cycling jersey and pants. During July & Aug. days can be hot and humid. Make sure you are cycling in cool fabrics, however a light sweater may still be desired at night.

Special Items: Hat, sunscreen, bathing suit, towel, bug spray, rain gear, rain poncho for your bike.

  • Can I bring my own bike?

For sure! However, please note that for each guest on a tour 1 space is allocated for 1 standard bike. A standard bike does not exceed 74" in total length, tip-to-tip, and tires width must not exceed 2".  You MUST inform us in advance if your bike is oversized! Any personal bike that exceeds limits must be approved prior to the tour and is subject to additional handling fees.

If you will bring your own bike on your tour, you'll need to bring your own gear as well. We recommend bringing a rear trunk to carry stuff like hat, sunscreen, rain gear, etc. You'll also need to bring 2 tubes that fit your tires.

A road or hybrid bike is recommended for this tour.

  • What does the SAG Van provide?

The SAG (support and gear) Van always has cold water and snacks. There is also first aid kits, tools, bike pump available for your use.

  • What if I can't ride all the miles on any given day?

Everyone is always welcome to skip a few miles by riding in the SAG van. Use the SAG van to take a break if you are tired, or hot. The van follows along the tour so you'll still see all the highlights, and you can ride as much or as little as you like!

  • Do you shuttle the luggage?

Yes, luggage is shuttled to your hotel each day.

  • Will you help if I have a bike problem?

Absolutely! We'll do our best to help you work out any mechanical bike issue. If we can't get your issue resolved we'll get your personal bike to the nearest bike shop.

If you are using our rentals, we'll swap out your bike if there is a mechanical issue.

We have travelled with [the tour operator] twice. Both times they were very detail oriented and thought of everything the riders would ever need. They added nice touches like water bottles, snacks, and happy hours.
Without a doubt they are the best value in the business. Accommodations and meals are well researched and provide everything we need.  The company is small and more often than not the owners are on the trip. We will definitely travel with them again.
