  • Where does the tour start and end?

    The tour starts and finishes at the harbor of Trogir, which is located in the Old Town of Trogir on a small peninsula. On day 1, Embarkation takes place between 2:00 and 2:30 pm. The first crossing will start at 3:00 pm. Please do not book flights that arrive after 2:00pm.

    Arrival by Plane
    For all tours starting in Trogir, the closest airport is the Split Airport (SPU) which is located of only 6km from the town. Alternative airports are Dubrovnik Airport (DBV) or Zadar Airport (ZAD). Transfers from these airports are available, please contact us if interested.

    The harbor can be reached by taxi from Split Airport (SPU). It will cost approximately EUR20/way and travel time can be 15mins depending on traffic.



  • How long is the tour? How many days cycling?

    The tour is 8 days long with 7 days of biking. This is a moderate to challenging mountain bike tour and the most kilometers to be cycled in a day is 60.

  • What's the tour like? What sort of ability should I have?

    The tour has been graded as MTB Level 2-3. It is moderate to challenging mountain biking that's suitable for riders with a very good level of fitness and riding technique.The terrain is very diverse and changes from island to island. Technical and demanding single trails alternate with wide 4x4 gravel roads and quiet asphalt stretches. There are very few sections that are unrideable.

    On most days, riders can choose between Level A or Level B trails with each having their own benefits.

    Level A: up to aprx. 60 km/37.5 mi. and aprx. 1,000 m/3,280 ft. of elevation
    Single Track Classification: S3*

    Level B: up to aprx. 50 km/31 mi. and aprx. 600 m/1,970 ft. of elevation

    Red (medium, S2): loose surfaces, larger stones and roots, steps and shallow stairs, gradients of up to 70 %, light hairpins. Constant readiness to brake, shift of centre weight to overcome obstacles, accurate braking, consistent body tension required.

    Black (difficult, S3 – S5): blocked single trails, many large boulders and roots, smooth/slippery surfaces, loose scree slopes, large steps/drops, extremely steep gradients of over 70 %, tight hairpins. Expert level of bike control/handling required.


  • Are helmets compulsory?

    For your own safety, helmet use is mandatory on all cycle routes. You are strongly encouraged to bring your own well-fitted helmet. Rental helmets are available on board in limited number (reservation requested). Furthermore, it is recommended that riders carry arm and leg protectors during the bike tours.

  • Can I bring my own bike?

    Yes, you can bring your own bike. Should you however wish to bring your own hybrid or MTB with you, please make sure to check the condition of your breaks, gears, and tires and don’t forget to bring along a puncture repair kit and the essential spare parts for your bike (e.g. brake pads and tubes). Your bike should be in prefect mechanical working order.

    Private e-MTBs can be brought along on MTB SPECIAL tours with an additional handling fee of EUR50/bike. Please be aware that e-bike batteries are not permitted onboard airplanes. If you will be flying in to Croatia, hiring an e-MTB from the Tour Operator is an option.

  • Can children join the tour?

    It is the Tour Operator's belief that only children in good physical condition are at least 10 years old and have previous bicycle tour experience are able to master the bike-tours on their own strength.Please note that the minimum height for a rental bike is 1.30m (4'3") for hybrid bikes.

    Children up to age 16 receive a discount of 25 % on the basic tour price.


  • What languages are spoken during the tour?

    Due to its international audience all tours are conducted bilingually, in English and German.

  • Does it get noisy on board?

    Kindly note that the ship is your hotel as well as a machine which has to be maintaned and operated - day and night. A certain level of noise is therefore inevitable.

  • What meals are included?

    Special dietary requirements (lactose free/gluten free/vegan) can be accommodated for an additional fee of EUR70. This must be communicated in advance and payable on board the ship.

    The onboard chef is a member of the crew and prepares the breakfast and one or two warm meals a day. The catering consists of 2x full board and 5x half board. meals. Catering starts with dinner on the arrival day and ends with the breakfast on the departure day.
