While Haines and Skagway are only fifteen miles apart by water, the roads connecting them travel three hundred and sixty miles through some of the most breathtaking scenery in Alaska and Canada. Ride past three National and Provincial parks that compromise the largest protected wilderness area in the world.
You will also utilize the following lodging on tour. Note that due to group size and availability, some of these options are subject to change.
Haines: The Hotel Halsingland is a historic building that dates back over a century to the original Fort Seward US Army outpost. It is on the National Register of Historic Places.
Haines: An Alaskan-style lodge with wood beam construction, the Funny Farm has long catered to the local heli-ski industry. the comfortable accommodations include an espresso shop and a communal area with couches and a pool table.
Whitehorse: The conveniently located Yukon Inn in Whitehorse offers comfortable hotel rooms and easy access to downtown Whitehorse.
Skagway: Built in 1897, the historic Skagway Inn Bed and Breakfast offers victorian style rooms located on Broadway in Skagway.
Hotel accommodation is based on double occupancy. If you are traveling alone and wish to share accommodation, the tour operator will match you with somebody of the same gender, if available. If you prefer single hotel accommodation, there is a single supplement fee for each trip that you will need to pay to secure individual rooms. For camping nights a tent is available for your personal use at no extra cost. Please note that due to limitations with some of the lodging options, a single room may not be available each night.
