  • Where does the tour start and end?

    The tour starts in Mansfield and ends in Tallarook.

    The charming town of Mansfield is 2 ½ hours drive from Melbourne. Follow the Hume Freeway (M31) north until you see the Mansfield sign turn off.

    There is a VLine train service to Tallarook from Melbourne and back, from there the tour operator can transfer you to Mansfield.

    There are buses that run several times a day between Melbourne Southern Cross Coach terminal all the way to Mansfield. The journey is around 3 hours.

    A return transfer from Tallarook back to Mansfield at the end of your cycling is possible and listed as an optional add-on.

    Fly in/out of Melbourne Airport (MEL).

    The tour is 4 days long with 4 days of cycling.

  • What's the tour like?

    This cycling tour is perfect for anyone that enjoys stress free cycling in the great outdoors, with charming rural towns and a few gourmet treats thrown in.  Being relatively easy and totally safe riding, it's also ideal for families and introductory riders.

  • Can I rent a bike?

    Yes. A 24 Gear Trek FX 7.2 Hybrid is available to hire. Alternatively, you can bring your own bike if you wish by prior arrangement.

    E-bikes are also available to hire if you prefer to have some electric assistance.

  • If I'm travelling on my own, do I have to pay more?

    If you are travelling alone, or are travelling with a group and wish to have your own room, a single supplement is payable.

  • Are helmets required?

    A helmet is required to be worn on all biking activities and is non-negotiable. If you do not wear a helmet you won't be allowed to cycle.

    The tour operator does have helmets available to hire but if you have your own this is preferable so that you are comfortable with a well-fitted helmet.

  • As the tour is self-guided, how will I know where to go?

    Your arrival information will include detailed, daily riding instructions for your tour along with the map showing your route highlighted. Riding instructions will provide thorough information and give you the flexibility to travel at your own pace.
