  • Where does the tour start and end?

The tour starts in Phnom Penh.  Fly into Phnom Penh International Airport (PNH).

The tour ends in Siem Reap.  Fly out of Siem Reap International Airport (REP).

  • What's the tour like?

You'll cover a total of 260 km over 6 days of cycling, with a route designed for leisure cyclists that balances Cambodia’s must-see sites with ventures off the beaten path. The rides are mostly flat, following a mix of paved and dirt roads through the picturesque Cambodian countryside. With vehicle transfers before and after some rides, you'll avoid busy main roads and focus on the most scenic and enjoyable routes. A highlight of the tour is exploring Angkor, one of the world’s most extraordinary heritage sites, offering you a unique perspective of the ancient temples both on and off the bike. Other highlights include the serene Oudong Mountain, the ancient ruins of Sambor Prei Kuk, and a peaceful sunset cruise on Tonle Sap Lake. But perhaps the most unforgettable moments are the warm encounters with Cambodia’s friendly locals, always eager to greet you with a wave and a smile.

The trip is fully supported, and your guide's deep knowledge of the area and terrain ensures you’re always informed about what lies ahead in terms of distance and difficulty. This, along with a constant supply of water and refreshments, makes a significant difference to your comfort and enjoyment.

    Suitability
This trip is ideal for anyone with a reasonable level of fitness. Besides a few gentle inclines, the terrain is predominantly flat. Daily distances average around 45 km, allowing plenty of time for sightseeing, relaxation, and immersion in the local culture. While the route includes gravel, sand, and uneven country roads that require basic handling skills, it doesn’t involve technical riding. The main challenge is maintaining stamina over consecutive days of riding in tropical heat. However, the leisurely pace and frequent refreshment stops make it accessible for riders of all experience levels. Plus, the support vehicle is always nearby to assist any weary cyclists.

    Biking Conditions
The routes include a mix of paved roads, gravel and sand country roads, and vehicle-width dirt tracks. While cycling through Angkor, you'll also enjoy some fun single tracks in the forest. Though much of the route is on quiet rural roads with minimal traffic, you’ll occasionally share the road with cars, motorbikes, and buses, especially when entering or exiting cities or near popular attractions. In the dry season, the roads can be dusty, and during the rainy season, they may become muddy. We generally ride in all weather, but route modifications can be made based on the guide’s discretion or your comfort level—after all, it’s all part of the adventure!

  • Who will be our guides?

You’ll be guided by a local English-speaking expert who is knowledgeable about the history, culture, and religions of the areas you’ll be cycling through. If the group has 9 or more participants, an additional guide will join the tour to ensure personalized attention.

All of the guides are not only well-versed in the local history and culture but also skilled at sharing this information with you. Additionally, your guide is medically trained and an experienced cyclist, capable of managing most minor repairs along the way.

  • Are helmets included when hiring a bike?

Yes, if you're hiring a bike from the operator, a complimentary helmet is provided, although you are welcome to bring your own if you wish.

Thank you very much for your help with coordinating the phenomenal bike tour through Cambodia. We had such a great time, and agreed that it was the best way to see the country! You've been very helpful and responsive to all of my queries, and it is very impressive.

I also would like to note to you and your company that our guide, Leang Chan Chamrong (Chamrong), was a truly amazing tour leader. He was very thoughtful, energetic, informative and caring person. I would recommend him to anyone for a great experience. We had so much fun with him because of him. Thank you again for helping us with this trip. I hope to visit more countries through your program in the future.
